How to Install Mods on Your Server
To install mods on your Project Zomboid server you will need the mods Workshop ID and Mod ID both are typically found towards the bottom of a mods Steam Workshop page.
Access your control panel and Stop your server.
Navigate to the Configuration Files tab.
3. Open the Main Configuration File via the Text Editor.
4. Locate the line item called WorkshopItems= and enter in your desired mods Workshop ID. If you have multiple mods be sure to separate them by semicolons.
5. In the same file, locate the next line item called Mods= and enter in your desired mods Mod ID. Once again, if you have multiple mods please separate them by semicolons.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When installing mods you must ensure your WorkshopItems= and Mods= list are in sequential order. For example:
WorkshopItems=Mod1;Mod2:Mod3
Than your Mods= should be the same;
Mods=Mod1;Mod2;Mod3
Doing them out of order risks your server crashing or mods not properly loading.
6. Click Save&Exit and Start your server. The mods should now download automatically into your server.
Congratulations! You've successfully installed mods to your server! You should now be able to connect and be prompted to install the mods while you're connecting.
